Our first cookout was a hugh success due in part to the Cookout Committee and their planning and hard work. There was plenty of good food, fun and fellowship. There was something for everyone....from the must have moon bounce, to bingo, football, billards, and door prizes, to even a petting zoo complete with goats, ducks, chickens, rosters, and turtles...oh my!
Not to mention the food...ribs, chicken, fish, hamburgers, hot dogs, sausages, potato salad, cole slaw, corn pudding, pasta salad, macaroni salad and so much more; like pound cake, red velvet cake, coconut cake, chocoloate cake, and sweet potato pie!!! And we introduced the new Dwayne (double/triple decker) Burger...wow, now that's a burger! And for the couch potatoes...there was jumbo flat screen television for their watching pleasure. We thank all the family and friends that came out to spend the day with us and what a day it was. The Lord blessed us with great weather in the mid 60's so that we could enjoy ourselves in comfort.
This week's pictorial slideshow highlights the cookout; there are no captions on the pictures, but for the most part the pictures are self explanatory; however, there are some stories that could be told; let's just say you had to be there! The pictures in the slideshow are randomly selected, so if you want to view all the photos; click on photo link at the top and then click on the Cookout photos. This will allow you to see all 92 photos. We had several photographers, so we will continue to add pictures as new ones become available.
To everyone that participated and helped in any way....THANK YOU! It was a beautiful day; spent with beautiful people. Many thanks to Richard for allowing us to invade his home!
Happy Birthday Bonnie!!!
